Artist's Reviews

Painting is my way of meditation and colour is a way to express and celebrate the colours of my soul. I chose the painting medium as glass because it is fragile yet very strong and is equally transparent, something that represents me as a person.

My artwork is directly influenced by my life and what surrounds me. Nature, the Universe and it’s never ending patterns inspire me in my art and of course Sacred Geometry is something i believe in and paint these designs when i get a good chance. I keep sketchbooks of quick scribbles, a folder with colour combinations that I love and scrapbooks of images that capture my wild imagination. I use these as reference points when creating a painting.

Glass and glass colours have become my material of choice because I just love the richness and lustre it gives to my creations. Working on glass with liquid glass colours needs lots of patience and dedication. It also has to be very precise because unlike paper and canvas, glass is a transparent base and everything painted on one side is easily reflected on the other side of the glass.

For the future I hope to get into conducting more workshops for art lovers and teach them all the different techniques that I have learned and incorporated in my work with years of practice and experience. I also plan to exhibit more in public, especially solo, as I have been working predominantly online the last few years.
